On June 6th, took place in Sofia the first BAKSOS official event “2 in 1” under the slogan
"UN Global Goals: the way forward for business".
During a discussion, as first part of the event, company representatives shared views and
experience on the understanding and synchronization of CSR policies with the Global
Sustainable Development Goals with colleagues from the Bulgarian network of the United
Nations Global Compact. The meeting was organized on the occasion of the preparation of
the first voluntary progress report of Bulgaria, in partnership with the Bulgarian Network of
the UN Global Compact and BAKSOS, the Bulgarian Association of CSR specialists.
The discussion was followed by the first meeting of the “CSR Specialist Hours” series, which
opened up the topic of the impact of Global Goals on corporate governance and
development, discussing the understanding and assessment of Global Goals as important
for business, the process of engaging as well as the communication and promotion of the
companies'; commitment to the global development agenda. Marina Stefanova,
and Darina Georgieva,, were speakers of this very first event of our
organization.
